I am an illustrator and picture book artist based in Hiroshima, Japan.

I create narrative-driven illustrations featuring children and animals, especially hamsters.

 

Drawing on traditional media techniques I studied in the UK,

and inspired by Japanese character culture, my work explores small adventures hidden in everyday life.

I mainly work with watercolor, acrylic gouache, and papercut collage, valuing warm, organic textures and the joyful accidents unique to analog processes.

 

I produce original artworks for exhibitions, illustrations for children’s books and educational materials, and character-based visuals for merchandise and other creative projects.
